How long will my tattoo last?
Henna or Jagua tattoos can last anywhere from 4 days to 3 weeks depending on where on the body they are done, and how well the after care instructions are followed. On average, they last about 1-2 weeks. The stain exists on the top few layers of skin and fades gradually with natural skin exfoliation.
How long does it take to apply the tattoo?
Based on the size of the tattoo it could take anywhere from 5-15 minutes for a small tattoo, or 30-60 minutes for a more elaborate one.
How long does it take to dry?

About 20 minutes for henna, and 30-40 minutes for jagua depending of the humidity level.

How long do I leave the paste on?

For henna, I recommend at least 6 hours. For Jagua, A minimum of 2 hours, and up to 6 hours. DO NOT SLEEP WITH HENNA OR JAGUA ON YOUR SKIN OVERNIGHT. (It can smear, blur design, and stain bedsheets)

Where should I get my tattoo?

Henna & Jagua stains the darkest on the coarsest, thickest skin, which is the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. The further you move away from these areas, the lighter the henna stain will be.

Every person has a different skin composition, so each person may stain a bit differently. That doesn’t mean it won’t stain your torso or back, it just won’t be as dark.

I recommend using Jagua if you want a design on a place other than the hands or feet, as it stains the darkest.

What is the different between Henna and Jagua?

Jagua, or Genipa Americana is a fruit has been used for body ornamentation and medicinal purposes in many areas of South America for centuries.  This blue/black non permanent dye creates a temporary tattoo when applied to the body and wears off only as the epidermal layer of skin to which it is applied wears off.  Jagua is organic and safe for skin application.

Henna is a plant that grows in some countries with a hot climate like Pakistan, India, Morocco, Somalia, Egypt, Yemen, Saudi Arabia etc.
The leaves of the henna plant contain the henna dye. These leaves are dried and crushed to a fine powder.

How do I care for my tattoo?
Once you have removed the henna or jagua from your skin, allow 24-48 hours for the stain to develop. During this time, do not apply any lotion to the area. Once the stain is developed, protect your tattoo from the water by applying vaseline, coconut oil, chapstick, or anything that repels water from your skin, and limit activities that quicken the skin exfoliation process.

  • I am passionate about creating an energetically sacred and safe space, where my clients can feel at ease to be adorned as the living sacred embodiments of Goddesses that they are! We connect to cycles and rhythms of nature through the body, honored through symbol and story. 
  • Although I predominantly work with Jagua, I also make my own henna upon request. My journey in learning the art of body adornment began with Jagua, which is one of the main reasons I prefer it. I believe both stains are equally beautiful, and easy to maintain.
  • It is my focus to create an experience that you will not forget! This is a collaborative approach to art, and I am the translator. I do not copy designs, although I will take inspirations and design influences into consideration, I always incorporate an intuitive flow to my designs.

Our 1 on 1 Body Adornment Sessions start at 88$ for a 45 minute session, including a consultation on any symbols, inspirations, or pulling of oracle cards as part of the ceremonial process.

Goddess Gatherings

Our Goddess Gatherings are typically co-organized by the artist and host, at a public or private location of their choice. There is a minimum of 4 women to book a gathering, at 50$ per woman. This includes the facilitation of the woman’s circle gathering, and the henna or jaguar adornment.

A 200$ deposit is required for this, and any additional women can reserve their spot by paying an initial deposit via Venmo, PayPal, Etc.  under the name of the host of the gathering.
